Purpose: New Commercial Fridge

​The Friendly Fridge BX works to make fresh, nutritious food accessible to all while combating waste through daily food rescue. Investing in new commercial refrigerators will increase its ability to store, protect, and share more food with the community at its food hub located at 4670 Manhattan College Pkwy.

We'll be hosting a Charity Class on Sunday, December 21, 2025 at 4:00 pm. Minimum donation is $10 to participate.

About the Friendly Fridge BX
The Friendly Fridge BX is the first community fridge in the Bronx. Since its launch on May 21, 2020, it now redirects over 70,000 pounds of healthy produce and prepared meals each month from landfills directly into the hands of the community. Its mission is to normalize reducing environmental waste and harm while easing the stress faced by many in our community. The Friendly Fridge BX does this by building strong, local partnerships to ensure good food is shared with anyone who needs a little extra help. Today, it partners with more than 25 schools, pantries, community centers, restaurants, catering companies, farms, CSAs, and other organizations—and growing!
