Our community is stronger when everyone's in the Hot Room.
At Bronx Yoga Lab, we strive to create an inclusive community, where all bodies are welcome to breathe, move, and explore. We offer discounted yoga classes, known as community classes, for our neighbors in the Bronx community. Everyone should have access to the powerful benefits of a Hot Yoga practice. For many, financial barriers prevent them from attending group-based fitness classes. Our community is here to help anyone meet their wellness goals and celebrate the current and future you. All community classes are ONLY $15 - what are you waiting for?

Frequently Asked Questions
What should I bring to class?
For class, you will need a mat, towel, and a water bottle. We encourage you to bring your own class essentials but we do have them at the studio for rent/purchase if you forget or do not own one.
What should I wear?
We recommend comfortable clothes you can easily move in. Most people wear leggings or shorts and a tank top or sports bra. You will want to wear clothing that is light and breathable so we discourage heavy pants or thick t-shirts (they will retain more sweat and make it harder to move).
Should I eat or drink water before class?
Drink plenty of water the day before and leading up to class.
Be sure to eat a light snack 1-2 hours before class. Avoid any heavy meals.

I'm running late. Will I be admitted to class?
Doors are locked 5 minutes before the class starts. Please be on time. Late students will not be admitted into class.
What if I can't do a pose?
Remember, yoga is not a performance. It is a journey and everybody is different (and can vary day to day as well). If you are not able to fully execute a posture, just work to the best of your ability. Starting small and focusing on proper alignment will help a lot more than trying to force your body into a posture it is not ready to do. The best thing you can do is give yourself time and have patience. Each day will be different as your body develops strength, flexibility, and stamina. Who knows? You might be surprised at what your body can do when you commit to it.
I am not accustomed to the heat, can I leave the room to cool off?
Acclimating to a heated room is a process. The heat adds an extra challenge by increasing your cardio capacity and allows your muscles to have more elasticity. This helps you to go deeper into a posture than you might otherwise without injury. Leaving the room in the middle of class will cause the acclimation process to start all over again, so we discourage it as much as possible.
